Do in all fairness. I need to fess up.
I had to quit my whole 30.
I gave it 12 days.
But the way the food was effecting J, it wasn't healthy for him.
He had a horribly gurgly stomach. Explosive diapers. His poops were the wrong colors. He had issues sleeping and was a serious "fuss-pot" (as B calls him). He got his first serious diaper rash. He SCREAMED at each diaper change. My poor husband took this scream as a personal issue.
Not only that, but my breasmilk supply seriously dipped. Really worryingly low.
After talking to some veteran moms, and my husband. I decided to STOP the whole.
48 hours later.
J's poop and stomach issues were almost back to normal.
Its now 8 days after that. The only thing that's not been fixed is my breastmilk supply.
I've added in lactation cookies, started pumping again, and am trying to get J to nurse more. With extra cuddles.
We're still eating healthier. Ive still cut out 98% of dairy, soda, and liqour. But I did add back starches. Quinoa, whole wheat pasta, brown rice, and red potatoes (B's request).
Im sad it had such a negative effect on J. But with him still being 99% exclusively breastfed, I have to put him first.
On the plus side, im still 7lbs down for the month. I'm much more aware of my portion sizes. And I drink SO MUCH more water.
Let me fill you in on my personal injuries later.
